On Wednesday, September 9, join us for an Adaptive Bike Demo Day on the City Hall Plaza. Adaptive Bike Demo Day is part of larger Try-an-E-Bike Event happening on the plaza.

At the Try an-E-Bike Event you can learn more about different standard e-bike and cargo e-bike brands and models. Several bike shops will be there to answer questions. Attendees can test ride e-bikes (if you are planning to test-ride, please bring your ID). The event is free and open to the public, no registration required.

Whereas Adaptive Bike Demo is opportunity to learn more about adaptive bikes, such as electric handycles, recumbent bikes, tandems, and handcycle wheelchair attachments. Several adaptive bikes will be at the event and available for test-riding as well, see the list below.

Please know that in case of an inclement weather, the larger Try-an-E-bike event will be postponed, but the Adaptive Bike Demo will still take place closer to the third floor entrance of the City Hall Plaza.

Join BCYF lifeguards for a day of learning the importance of water safety. There will be an in-water activity, stations around the pool deck, DJ and activities for all. Family friendly and open to all ages.

This meeting follows our May 2026 public meeting which focused on a Housing Feasibility study for the Jackson Mann site. At this August meeting we will share the results of survey feedback about the future of the site, share data on BPS enrollment and demographic trends, and discuss options for the future of the site.

South End Cannabis and Legacy Operations will be hosting a Community Lunch Outreach at the intersection of Massachusetts Ave and Melena Cass Blvd on Friday, July 31. This is the 3rd Annual event dedicated to giving back to the South End community and supporting neighbors in need by providing locals with a meal and additional support.

The team is looking for volunteers to assist this Friday during lunch. If you're interested in volunteering, feel free to just show up to help distribute resources, or reach out to South End Cannabis and Legacy Operations owner Derek D’Ambrosio for additional details. 

We offer in-person help with submitting online applications for the Boston E-Bikes Incentive Program.

Please know that on the day of the appointment you will need to have access to an email to be able to submit your application. In-person help hours on Monday, July 27, are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and are drop-in style with no prior appointment necessary.

Several bike shops will be there to answer questions. You will also be able to test ride e-bikes (if you are planning to test-ride, please bring your ID). The event is free and open to the public. Drop-in, no registration required. In case of inclement weather, please contact 311 to see if the event is still taking place.

The event will also include an opportunity to learn more about Adaptive Bikes, such as handcycles, recumbent, tandems, and e-handcycle attachments for wheelchairs.  Test-riding adaptive bikes will be available as well.
