This workshop will explore what plastics are,  and what we are learning about their toxicity and effects on human health.  From there we will brainstorm what we can do to reduce our own risks and decrease our use of plastic.

Dr. Bridget Lee is an emergency physician at NeighborHealth in East Boston, where she runs a sustainability team.  She is also a member of Greater Boston Beyond Plastic and is on their speaker’s bureau, and helps to educate healthcare providers on how and why to reduce plastic in their practice.

Members of Boston's Zero Waste Team will also be there to share resources for reducing and managing waste in Boston.

The Circular Economy Collage is an interactive workshop designed to get you thinking about the model of consumption we have today and different visions for a circular economy. During this workshop we will examine and understand the impacts of a linear economy, put that into context in our own lives, and think about how to transform a linear economy into a circular one.
