The City of Boston has officially launched the new MA Class I REC Connector Program. This program aims to support building owners with purchasing MA Class I Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to comply with BERDO.

To accompany this launch, the City of Boston will be hosting a webinar to introduce the MA Class I REC Connector Program to BERDO building owners. Green Energy Consumers Alliance will join this webinar to provide a demonstration of their BERDO Online Portal and will be available for Q&A. The webinar will take place over Zoom on Thursday February 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Please register here.

Snowshoeing is a fun and healthy way to enjoy the outdoors and further explore The Emerald Necklace in the winter. Our Park Rangers will demonstrate and instruct all the snowshoeing basics. Then, you'll be led on an 30 minute-long guided tour, where we will uncover some of the plants and wildlife that thrive in the wintry New England environment.

  • A limited supply of snowshoes will be available for use during the event
  • Please dress accordingly and be prepared for winter weather conditions
  • For ages 12+
  • In the event that we are unable to snowshoe, the program will be conducted as a walking tour

Hike Boston is our series where we invite you to join us for a walk, hike, or interpretive program in one of Boston's parks or urban wilds.

Boston Park Rangers, Urban Wilds staff, and Parks employees will provide formal and informal discussions or tours during the hikes. Some hikes may be more focused on taking a walk in the park, while others may be more informational.
