Come join us for a night of music, empowerment, and fun at The Substation in Roslindale! This event, sponsored by The City of Boston's Wake Up The Night, is all about celebrating women who ROCK! It's fun, entertaining, and playfully interactive. Grab your kids, your grandkids, your friends and your family for a night of dancing, singing, fun, games, food, and showcasing some of Rozzie's rockingest women. Don't miss out on this uplifting and unforgettable evening!

2 LIVE BANDS!

BRING YOUR LITTLES for a rocking good time! THE LUCKY DUCKIES play upbeat, age-appropriate songs for kids that parents will love. We supply the dancing ribbons, shaker toys, and fun! Dancing, singing along (preferably at the top of your lungs) and general merriment are strongly encouraged. It’s not just a show - it’s a party!

LET'S KEEP THE PARTY GOING with THE LUCKY BASTIDS - Remember those infamous clubs from Boston’s Rock & Roll heyday? The Channel, Green Street Station, Chet’s Last Call, TT The Bears, Bunratty’s, etc.? These Boston music veterans have headlined them all and they’re still rocking strong! With a classic rock vibe, a garage heart, and hints of reggae, surf and punk, this woman-fronted fun bar band knows how to rock! It’s always a good time when The Lucky Bastids play!

There'll be food for purchase from Sweeties Ice Cream.

Join Minni and CoDesign Collaborative in making a cozy quilt! Families will be guided through the making of colorful patterns with soft felt shapes, fabric glue and simple stitching techniques to make cozy quilts, perfect for snuggling up with a favorite stuffy and a cup of hot cocoa! This is a FREE event funded by the City of Boston Nightlife Economy Department’s grant program.

We will also be hosting a donation drive at the workshop! Please consider bringing a warm clothing item or blanket to donate to St. Francis House, the largest day shelter in Massachusetts supporting people experiencing homelessness and poverty.

About Minni × CoDesign Collaborative

CoDesign Collaborative is thrilled to partner with Minni to expand access for Boston families to hands-on, design-learning workshops through the city’s Wake Up the Night initiative!

Minni's South End space will open to families for FREE evening workshops on select dates this fall. Each workshop will focus on codesign—design that centers community and collaboration. Families will enjoy creative play and messy materials while being introduced to deeper themes of design impact.
