Winter Cycling Chat - East Boston

Colder weather and darker days don't mean you have to put away your bike for the season. Join one of our chats to learn more about riding during the winter.

February 13, 2023
2023-02-13T17:00:00 - 2023-02-13T18:00:00

You can find joy, convenience, and community while biking during winter. Our winter cycling chats are a great way to share stories, tips, and resources — and to ask questions! We plan to discuss:

  • clothing to keep you warm and dry
  • riding in darkness
  • how to handle wet, windy, and cold days
  • our public bike share, Bluebikes, and
  • much more!

We are hosting two winter cycling chats:

  • Monday, February 13, at 5 p.m. at the East Boston branch library
  • Wednesday, February 22, at 3 p.m. at the Uphams Corner branch library

This study will build upon Climate Ready Boston’s planning efforts to further investigate coastal storm resilience strategies for the Boston community, incorporating and building on the City’s current and planned projects. It will also consider existing federal, state and other local initiatives and ultimately recommend solutions that may be eligible for federal investment and implementation support.

This event will provide an update on the City’s coastal resilience projects, information on the USACE study goals, scope, and timeline, key milestones and deliverables, and opportunities for community participation, as well as a space for initial input and questions.
