Daniel Dickinson
Daniel Dickinson is currently serving as an ARPA LCA Specialist with the Mayor’s Office of Language and Communication Access (OLCA). He is committed to ensuring that all of the City of Boston’s departments have the support and resources necessary to provide accommodation services to constituents who speak a Language Other Than English (LOTE), or who identify as having a disability.
Daniel’s prior experiences as an ESL instructor, translator, real-time interpreter, and case manager for an immigration law practice inform his passion for providing culturally-aware linguistic access to diverse communities. He speaks Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic, and Russian comfortably while maintaining conversational ability in Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic, and Guyami. He is currently studying Mandarin, Japanese, Turkish, and Portuguese.
Daniel spends most of his free time with a language book in-hand, but enjoys climbing, hiking, and cooking as well.
