Varied combinations of spices are what differentiate cultural cuisines; donating spices helps people maintain their cultural identity and family traditions, encourages creative and nutritious cooking, and celebrates the abundant cultural makeup of our region.

We will distribute the daffodils on Monday after the marathon to those who need a smile and a bit of kindness. We will begin street cleaning at Buttonwood St. and we will make our way toward Savin Hill Ave. We then plan to make our way over at McConnell Park in Dorchester and finish with a cleanup at that location.

This will be a shared corporate (with John Hancock Investments) and community event (with Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association) that will bring community members together with residents to beautify and make a small area of a larger Dorchester shine. This will be an opportunity to allow neighbors who may need assistance with some yard cleanup to submit their address to Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association and have volunteers assist residents.
