Chris Morawski, MSW, LCSW

Staff Support Specialist

Chris Morawski is the Staff Support Specialist for the Mayor’s Commission for Persons with Disabilities. In this role, he serves as the first point of contact for constituents, and supports commission initiatives through research, advocacy, and logistics management. He has worked for the commission since 2014. 

Chris graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Psychology, and holds a M.S.W. from Boston University. He is currently a Licensed Certified Social Worker in Massachusetts. Before joining the Commission, he worked as a residential counselor supporting high school age students who had cognitive disabilities. He has experience working in special education advocacy, and child abuse prevention.  

Having been born with Cerebral Palsy, Chris brings both his academic training and lived experience as a person with a physical disability to his work. He also brings a number of personal passions to his work, including special education, youth mentoring, and the use of social media and other new technologies in community outreach. Chris is a resident of East Boston.
