Tegan Evans, MPH
Tegan C. Evans, Associate Bureau Director for the Infectious Disease Bureau (IDB) at the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC), received her Master of Public Health from Boston University's School of Public Health. Ms. Evans has over 19 years of experience in public health and has been at the BPHC for almost 10 years. Before transitioning to the Infectious Disease Bureau in 2021, she oversaw the development and implementation of trauma response and recovery services for Boston residents impacted by violence. She provided technical assistance and coaching to clinical and non-clinical providers, to increase the city’s capacity to provide trauma informed services to Boston communities disproportionately impacted by trauma in the Division of Violence Prevention. As the Associate Bureau Director, Tegan continues to focus on Boston’s most vulnerable populations by working with community-based organizations within Boston to support the prevention and treatment of communicable diseases, writing and directing grants, and supporting the development and implementation of public health interventions across the IDB’s 4 Divisions.
