Public Facilities Commission Meeting (PFD)

ATTENDANCE
On March 28, 2025, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020, Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through June 30, 2027. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually and to ensure its public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

For public participation requests, please email PFC@boston.gov. Any and all requests for public participation must be received no later than the commencement of this Public Facilities Commission meeting (10 a.m.).
These practices in effect since May 11, 2020, will remain in effect until further notice. Updates to these practices will be posted as appropriate.

VOTE 1: Gui de Azevada, Senior Project Manager
Contract to CHA Consulting, Inc.: To provide owner project manager (OPM) services for the feasibility study and schematic design phase associated with the Ruth Batson Academy project located at 315 Mount Vernon Street, Dorchester.
Contract Price: $661,176
That the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to request from the Mayor, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, written authority to award a contract, pursuant to a publicly advertised request for services under M.G.L. c. 149, section 44½(c) with advertisements appearing in the Boston Globe and City Record on May 25, 2026 and in COMMBUYS and the Central Register on May 27, 2026, to CHA Consulting, Inc., a New York corporation with an office at One Washington Mall, Suite 1500, Boston, MA 02108. Under the terms of this contract, CHA Consulting, Inc. will provide owner project manager (OPM) services for the feasibility study and schematic design phase associated with the Ruth Batson Academy project located at 315 Mount Vernon Street, Dorchester. The OPM services and fees are limited to the feasibility study and schematic design phase of the project at a cost not to exceed $661,176, including $596,276 for base fee and $64,900 for additional services. The term of the contract will be through October 1, 2028 for the feasibility study and schematic design portion of the contract.
The Director is, also, authorized to execute such contract, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
