Public Facilities Commission Meeting (PFD)

ATTENDANCE

On March 28, 2025, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020, Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through June 30, 2027. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually and to ensure its public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

For public participation requests, please email PFC@boston.gov. Any and all requests for public participation must be received no later than the commencement of this Public Facilities Commission meeting (10 a.m.).

    Amendment to the vote of March 26, 2025: Regarding a contract with P-Three, Inc. to provide owner project manager (OPM) services through schematic design associated with the 2024 Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) project at three (3) Boston Public Schools located in Hyde Park, Allston and West Roxbury.
     
    Time Extension and Increase of $36,000
     
    That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of March 26, 2025, regarding a contract with P-Three, Inc. to provide owner project manager (OPM) services through schematic design associated with the 2024 Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) project at three (3) Boston Public Schools located at:
     
    Chittick Elementary School, 154 Ruskindale Road, Hyde Park
     
    Gardner Pilot Academy, 30 Athol Street, Allston
     
    Lyndon K-8 , 20 Mount Vernon Street, West Roxbury
     
    be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
     
    By deleting the following words and figures: “December 31, 2025, at a cost not to exceed $45,000 for basic fee services” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “January 31, 2028 at a contract cost not to exceed $81,000, including $36,000 for additional basic fee services;” and
     
    Also, by deleting the words and figures: “Chittick Elementary School, 154 Ruskindale Road, Hyde Park” where such may appear.
     
    The Director is, also, authorized to execute such contract amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.

    That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of March 26, 2025 regarding a contract with Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. to provide design services associated with the 2024 Massachusetts School Building Authority’s (MSBA) Accelerated Repair Program (ARP) project at three (3) Boston Public Schools located at:
     
    Chittick Elementary School, 154 Ruskindale Road, Hyde Park
     
    Gardner Pilot Academy, 30 Athol Street, Allston
     
    Lyndon K-8, 20 Mount Vernon Street, West Roxbury
     
    be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
     
    By deleting the following words and figures: “December 31, 2025, at a cost not to exceed $245,000, including $207,00 for base services and $38,000 for additional services fee” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “December 31, 2027, at an amended total cost not to exceed $494,000, including additional basic fee services of $249,000;” and
     
    Also, by deleting the words and figures: “Chittick Elementary School, 154 Ruskindale Road, Hyde Park” where such may appear.
     
    The Director is, also, authorized to execute such contract amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
