Ân H. Lê
Ân H. Lê is the Director of Policy and Research for the City of Boston’s Equity and Inclusion Cabinet. In this role, he leads the policy development and research work for advancing the Mayor’s equity and inclusion priorities, with an emphasis on racial justice and focusing on the historically oppressed populations served by the eight City departments in the Equity and Inclusion Cabinet.
He has taught at the School of Social Work and the Continuing Education program at Boston College. Previously, Ân served in public policy, communications, and community engagement roles for the Boston Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement. Prior to working for the City of Boston, he worked with children needing mental health support and with families experiencing financial crises and food insecurity. Ân holds Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work degrees from Boston College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine. He is a child of Vietnamese refugees and a native speaker of Vietnamese. Being able to contribute to building a strong, vibrant community for his child and all of Boston’s children motivates him every day.
