Kylia Kennedy

Accessibility and Inclusion Training Specialist

Kylia (Ky) Kennedy is the Accessibility and Inclusion Training Specialist for the Mayor's Commission for Persons with Disabilities. In this role they curate and present training modules designed to reduce policy barriers as an integral part of furthering the Commission's mission.

Ky has traveled to different schools, community groups and more across Boston to give lectures and classes in an effort to bridge the gap of understanding between the Allistic and Autistic community as well as give valuable information on service dog-handler teams and their rights.

As a member of the disability community, a service dog handler and the founder of an Autistic Self-Advocacy Nonprofit Organization, Ky brings both lived and professional experience to this role with specialized insight into a subsection of the disability community, the neurodivergent community. As a TEDx speaker and educator through their nonprofit, they also bring with them a great deal of public speaking and teaching experience.

In their advocacy work, Ky gives special focus to fighting racial barriers to equitable access for disabled persons.
