John Martin is Senior Lead Counsel for Contracts for the MBTA and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Previously, John Martin was Special Counsel for McCarter & English, LLP where he practiced construction law in litigation and transactional matters, representing primarily owners since 2003. Prior to that, he represented primarily general contractors in OSHA, wage and hour, and employment litigation at Hinckley Allen.

Martin holds a JD from Boston College Law School, and a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from Gustavus Adolphus College. He is a Boston resident and his children are Boston Latin School alumni who live and work in Boston.
