Beginning Tuesday, July 7, 2026, zoning staff will be available every Tuesday from 4 - 6 p.m. at 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, 5th Floor, to provide one-on-one guidance for residents, homeowners, property owners, and small business owners. The clinic is designed to help participants better understand:

  • property use and occupancy questions
  • accessory structures
  • small business projects
  • permit and approval processes, and
  • rojects that may be allowed as-of-right.

Office hours will take place on the following days:

  • First Thursday of every month from 4 - 7 p.m. at the East Boston branch
  • Fourth Thursday of every month from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Copley branch

Publisher's Poetry Slam

Ten poets will be selected to compete at the Roxbury Poetry Festival in the Publisher’s Poetry Slam. The winning poet will have a chapbook published by Button Poetry!

To participate, submit your manuscript for consideration. Poets are to perform original work without the use of props, costumes or musical accompaniment. Poets should remain within the time limit designated for each round.

Submissions close on June 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Selected poets will be notified by June 16, 2026.
