Kharlita Chambers-Walker

Supplier Diversity Outreach and Engagement Manager

Kharlita Chambers-Walker is a long-time resident of Dorchester and serves as the Supplier Diversity Outreach and Engagement Manager in the Department of Supplier and Workforce Diversity. Prior to working for the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, she served as the Director of Scheduling and Advance for both Mayor Walsh and Mayor Janey administrations.

Currently, she supports the Department of Supplier and Workforce Diversity by developing and building working partnerships with other City of Boston Departments, local agencies, and business service organizations that assist and promote minority/women-owned business enterprises Small Local Business Enterprises in the Boston area.

In 2017, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, earning her bachelor's degree in Crime and Justice Studies. Kharlita is currently a graduate student at Northeastern University's Master's of Public Administration Program. Kharlita’s studies and prior government internship experiences have confirmed her passion for public service and dedication to social justice issues.

In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and playing basketball.
