Due to rain on our initial event date of May 24, we will hold another Boylston Street Community Walk on June 7.

We are working on a number of bike projects this year as part of our work to quickly close gaps across the City in Boston's emerging network of low-stress bike routes. These changes will increase the legibility of the bike network in Jamaica Plain. This walk will focus on changes coming to Boylston Street. Separate walks were held for other projects in the neighborhood, including Eliot StreetMcBride Street, and Green Street and Seaverns Avenue/Gordon Street.

Spanish translation will be provided.

We’re adding separated bike lanes on Boylston Street, Berkeley Street, a block of Beacon Street, and two blocks of Columbus Avenue as part of an expansion to close gaps in Boston’s low-stress bike network. The new lanes will create continuous, comfortable rides through the Back Bay from Fenway and the South End. The new, two-way lane on Beacon Street will bring bikers all the way to the Arthur Fiedler Footbridge and the Charles River.

We will have a table set up on the Commonwealth Avenue mall at Berkeley Street. Drop by anytime to view the design plans, ask questions, and learn more about the project.
