Back Bay Mobility Projects

We’re designing safer streets in Back Bay!

We aim to enhance the neighborhood’s unique character while improving safety and mobility for residents, commuters, and visitors. Our shared transportation goals for Back Bay reflect your input and align with the City's vision:

  • Ensure that sidewalks, streets, and public spaces accessible and in a state of good repair
  • Make bus travel more reliable
  • Build safer, connected bike lanes
  • Manage parking and curbside access

Project Updates

The presentation provides updates to mobility projects planned for the Back Bay neighborhood.

How we design traffic signals:

  1. Gather traffic data to understand current conditions.
  2. Use traffic modeling software to test different designs.
  3. Our goal is to find a balance between safety, access, and keeping traffic moving smoothly for everyone.
