Nate loves helping people get on the same page and move in the same direction. He is interested in places and spaces that build relationships, create connections across differences, and encourage collaboration. A product of his upbringing in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Nate tries to be attentive to the systems and arrangements that influence our understanding of the world and our interactions with each other.

Before joining the Mechanics, Nate worked as a facilitator and community engagement consultant for municipalities and state and federal government agencies across the country.

He loves riding his bike in Boston, enjoys visiting different neighborhoods with his run crew, appreciates efficient transit systems, and has been to 49 of the 50 United States by car.
