We work with partner agencies to offer home repair loans to seniors.
Learn about the program
The Boston Home Center works with several neighborhood agencies that will assist you with applying for minor to larger repairs for your home. We offer zero percent-interest (0%), deferred loans for older homeowners.
You can use the loans to make many types of repairs, including:
- replacing a heating system, porch, or roof
- fixing a broken window or stair tread
- updating a bathroom or kitchen
- painting the outside of your house, or
- other repairs that make your home more habitable.
Contact your neighborhood agency
Your local agency will come to your house and help you find out what type of repairs you need. They will also help you apply to the City's Senior Home Repair Program. The Boston Home Center will help estimate the cost of your repairs and prioritize emergency repairs needed.
