Heat Emergency in Boston

A heat emergency is in place in Boston through Tuesday, June 24. A number of splash pads and City pools are open, and select BCYF community centers are open as cooling centers during the emergency.

Sarah Leung

Architectural Access Specialist

Sarah Leung is the Architectural Access Project Coordinator for the Mayor’s Commission for Persons with Disabilities. In this role, Sarah works closely with architects, engineers, and developers to provide technical assistance and accessibility code review for development projects. She also works with the Boston Planning and Development Agency, the Public Improvement Commission, the Boston Transportation Department, Inspectional Services Department and other City departments, to shape City policies and initiatives that ensure individuals with disabilities have full participation in the built environment, buildings, open space and the public realm.

Sarah is originally from Canada and moved to Boston for school. She holds a professional Bachelors of Architecture (B. Arch) from the Boston Architectural College and is currently working towards full licensure. Sarah resides in the Fenway area and is proficient in Cantonese and French.
