Domestic Workers' Day Fair
The City of Boston’s Office of Labor Compliance and Worker Protections is partnering with the Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement, the Mayor’s Office of Women's Advancement, MassCOSH Immigrant Worker Center, Brazilian Worker Center, and the Chinese Progressive Association to celebrate the many contributions of Domestic Workers to the Massachusetts economy and the anniversary of the enactment of the Massachusetts Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. The Domestic Workers Bill of Rights ensures that employees that work in private homes - nannies, caretakers, housekeepers, etc. - have the same workplace rights as all workers in Massachusetts.
This free event includes:
- A two-hour hands-only CPR training
- A know your rights workshop by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office
- A Reiki session*
- Informational resource tables
**Reiki is an energy healing technique that uses light touch or hovering hands to channel universal life force energy into the body to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and support self-healing.
Interpretation and childcare is available at no cost. Please use this form to submit a request for these services no later than Friday, June 5. If you have any questions, please email workers@boston.gov.
