Tree Removal Hearing: Mission Hill
In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department will hold a virtual public hearing on a request to remove three (3) public shade trees at 1617 Tremont Street, Mission Hill.

Request for the removal of two (2) Ginkgo trees measuring 6 inches DBH (diameter at breast height) and one (1) Red Maple tree measuring 3 inches DBH located on the Wigglesworth side of 1617 Tremont St in order for the Harvard Chabad Longwood Center for Jewish Life to facilitate the demolition of the current building and construction of a new building.
The hearing will be held by the City of Boston’s Tree Warden (or designee) remotely on Thursday, June 5, at 10:30 a.m. via Zoom.

Public comments, questions or objections to the removal of these trees must be submitted in writing prior to or during the hearing to the Tree Warden, Boston Parks and Recreation Department, 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, 3rd floor, Roxbury, MA 02118 or by emailing trees@boston.gov with “Tremont St Tree Hearing” in the subject line.
