City Council Committee on Boston's COVID-19 Recovery hearing on various grants dockets: #0994, #0995, #0996, #0997, #0999, #1001

The Committee will hold a hearing on various grants under the American Rescue Plan Act passed through the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs to be administered by the Age Strong Commission.  The Chair of the Committee is Councilor Michael Flaherty.  The sponsor of these orders is Acting Mayor Kim Janey.

    In accordance with Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021 modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the City Council will be conducting this hearing virtually. This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while adhering to public health accommodations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.
