RE: COVID-19, Temporary Practices
 
ATTENDANCE
In accordance with Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 Executive Order modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will be conducting its meetings virtually. This enables the PFC to conduct its usual business while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.
 
You can watch these virtual meetings on Boston City TV at Xfinity channel 24, RCN channel 13, Fios channel 962, and live-streaming on our website.
 
These practices in effect since May 11, 2020 will remain in effect until further notice.  Updates to these practices will be posted as appropriate.

    Time Extension and Increase of $871,879
     
    That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of December 15, 2011, as amended by PFD’s Director under a delegation of authority on March 11, 2013 and, thereafter, amended by votes on August 1, 2013, October 17, 2013, December 19, 2013, May 21, 2015, and, amended by PFD’s Director under delegations of authority on November 25, 2016, and November 13, 2018, and, further amended by votes on September 25, 2019 and January 13, 2021, regarding a contract with HMFH Architects, Inc., associated with the Josiah Quincy Upper School project;
     
    be, and hereby is, amended pursuant to the provisions of M.G.L. c.7C, §§ 44 and 52 as follows:
     
    By deleting the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $21,931,269, including $1,738,452 for additional services” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $22,803,148, including $5,089,051 for additional services.”
     
    The Director is, also, authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
