The Air Pollution Control Commission will hold its next hearing on September 19, 2018, at 11:30 a.m.

In accordance with the Procedures and Criteria for the Issuance of Parking Freeze Permits adopted under M.G.L. Chapter 111, Section 31C, Boston Air Pollution Control Commission will hold a public hearing in Boston City Hall, Room 900, at 11:30 a.m. on September 19, 2018 to review the following projects. There will be brief presentations followed by review of individual applications, and opportunities for public testimony.

Discussion Topics

  1. Applications

Application for a Downtown Parking Freeze Permit from DLA Piper on behalf of MCAF Winthrop LLC for 550 parking spaces to accommodate the construction of a new mixed-use building. 350 spaces would be used by residents and the remaining 200 spaces would be for commercial tenants, their patrons and employees, all classified as “Exempt” under the parking freeze. Grant of the permit would have no effect on the Downtown parking freeze bank.

Application for a South Boston Parking Freeze Permit from Goulston & Storrs on behalf of WS Development for 394 parking spaces to accommodate the construction of a new mixed-use building. Allocation of 273 spaces from the master Block L permit and allocation of 121 spaces from the South Boston Parking Freeze Bank, all classified as “Commercial Public Parking” under the parking freeze, to a subsurface parking garage that will serve a new mixed-use building with approximately 81,000 square feet of retail space and approximately 444,000 square feet of office space.

  2. Other Business

Discussion regarding the transition of parking freeze permits into the IPS permitting system.
