Heat Emergency in Boston

A heat emergency is in place in Boston through Tuesday, June 24. A number of splash pads and City pools are open, and select BCYF community centers are open as cooling centers during the emergency.

BCYF Roslindale features include an auditorium / community room, gymnasium, senior room, teen center, and a fitness area including a walking track.

BCYF’s network of community centers offer a wide range of programs and diverse features that are as unique as the neighborhoods they serve.

Please Note:

BCYF Roslindale has been asked to host several local Boston classrooms from January through the end of the school year. This is because of construction going on at the former Irving School in preparation for reopening a new elementary school for current Sumner Elementary and Philbrick Elementary students in September 2025. Most of the center's programs will not be interrupted but any changes to the schedule will be communicated and posted.

BCYF does not currently charge a fee to join any of our centers or pools but you must create an account in our program registration system to attend.
