Councilor judges Jamaica Plain spelling bee

Councilor O’Malley facilitated the annual Spelling Bee at the Joseph P. Manning Elementary school in Jamaica Plain. Fifty fourth- and fifth-grade students competed in the competition.

This year marks Councilor O’Malley’s 8th time judging their spelling bee. Oliver Mark Lapollo was the champion of the event and will compete at the citywide BCYF Spelling Bee on March 15 at the Copley Branch of the Boston Public Library.
