Cyber Tips for Online Shopping Securely

Before you shop, lock down your accounts. Make sure you have unique passwords and whenever you can use the strongest authentication tools available - like biometrics, security keys or two-step authentication.

Check the settings on all the apps you use to see what information about you is being collected and what they share. Keep your privacy settings strict and share as little information as you can.

Once you buy make sure to update any internet ready devices you purchase with the latest software and always reset the passwords from the default that came with the device to something strong and unique.
