Project Goals

This parcel was sold to Mass Liberation, Inc. in November, 2024 for the development of a community open space. The majority of construction on the site was completed in 2025, and the remaining items will be finished in spring 2026.

The open space will provide innovative community-driven open space programs, promotion of public health and wellness through access to natural green infrastructure, inclusive community forums, lectures, and arts & culture activities, and general community building. The open space/community garden will include raised beds for gardening, a lawn seating area, a woodland sculpture garden, benches, and tables, and a stage for lectures & forums.
