Public Facilities Commission Meeting (PFD)

ATTENDANCE
On March 28, 2025, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020, Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through June 30, 2027. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually and to ensure its public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

For public participation requests, please email PFC@boston.gov. Any and all requests for public participation must be received no later than the commencement of this Public Facilities Commission meeting (10 a.m.).
These practices in effect since May 11, 2020, will remain in effect until further notice. Updates to these practices will be posted as appropriate.

Amendment to the vote of June 26, 2024: Regarding a contract with Sasaki Architects, P.C. to provide design and construction administration services associated with the Boston City Hall and Plaza Renovations, Phase 1 & 2 project, located at 1 City Hall Square.
Increase of $737,800
That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of July 18, 2018 and, thereafter, amended on May 15, 2019, December 15, 2021, December 14, 2022, June 26, 2026 and further amended by PFD's Director under delegation of authority for time regarding a contract with Sasaki Architects, P.C. to provide architectural design and construction administration services associated with the Boston City Hall and Plaza Renovation, Phase II project;
be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
By deleting the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $1,069,951, including $100,000 for additional services” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $16,188,547, including the requested amount of $737,800 for basic services;”
and, also, by deleting the following words: “provide architectural design and construction administration services” and substituting in place thereof the following words: “to provide design development through construction bid documents.”
AND, FURTHER VOTED: The Director is also authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.

Amendment to the vote of July 31, 2024: Regarding a contract with Utile, Inc. to provide architectural design and construction administration services associated with the South End Branch Library Study project located at 685 Tremont Street, South End.Increase of $1,121,704That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of July 19, 2023 and further amended on July 31, 2024 regarding a contract with Utile, Inc. to provide architectural design and construction administration services associated with the South End Library project located at 685 Tremont Street, South End;be, and hereby is, amended as follows:By deleting the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $2,454,159, including $947,453 for additional services” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “at a cost not to exceed $3,575,863, including a total of amended base and additional services of $1,121,704;”and, also, by deleting the following words: “to provide design development through construction bid documents” and substituting in place thereof the following words “to provide construction administration services through closeout.”AND, FURTHER VOTED: The Director is also authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
