PFD - DORCHESTER COMMUNITY CENTER

The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department (PFD), 2 Center Plaza Suite 700 Boston, MA 02108 hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the PFD - Dorchester Community Center project. Project Location: 40 Geneva Avenue

 

The scope of work includes: Construction of a new 41,000 SF Two story community center that includes a gymnasium and indoor pool. and is further detailed in the plans and specifications available electronically only on or about September 08, 2025, upon request submitted to bid.info@boston.gov.

Per M.G.L. c. 149 § 44D¾, please note PFD has already conducted two rounds of prequalification for the below filed sub-bid trades. Fewer than three subcontractors were prequalified in these categories after two rounds of prequalification. Accordingly, submissions for the above-named subtrades are open to all subject to the requirements of M.G.L. c. 149 §§ 44B to 44E.

Filed Sub-bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond deposit of the amount bid, DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility (approved in the applicable trade/category of work noted below), and DCAMM Update Statement. *All interested bidders are directed to the bid specifications and plans for full information on any and all requirements applicable to this bid.

Filed sub-bid trade(s):  Elevators

Bids shall be filed with the Awarding Authority at the Bid Counter, 2 Center Plaza Suite 700 Boston, MA 02108 before 12:00 PM (Twelve o'clock pm) on September 23, 2025 at which time and place respective bids will be opened forthwith and read aloud in person and virtually. Expected contract duration is 798 Days. Prevailing wages shall apply.

Deadline for questions: September 17, 2025  at 12:00 noon, all questions must be submitted in writing directly to bid.info@boston.gov.
