Heat Emergency in Boston

Mayor Wu announced a heat emergency in Boston from Sunday, June 22, through Tuesday, June 24. A number of splash pads and City pools are open, and select BCYF community centers will be open as cooling centers during the emergency.

PUBLIC ART FOUNDATION CONSTRUCTION, WHITTIER CHOICE NEIGHBORHOOD INITIATIVE PHASE 3

The Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture is seeking quotes to procure a qualified firm to construct and install five sculptural sub-grade foundations for a long-term public art installation at the Phase 3 building currently under construction in Roxbury. As a part of Whittier Choice Neighborhood Initiative, the City of Boston will commission and install said public art installation at the Phase 3 building currently under construction in Roxbury; the sculptural foundations installed as a result of this request for quotes will be done so before site construction is completed later this year. 

 

This is a WQC pursuant to MG.L. c.30, §39M.

Proposals will be solicited through the City of Boston’s Supplier Portal: boston.gov/supplierportal. All times refer to Eastern Standard Time.

Contract Documents will be available through the Supplier Portal on or about: Monday, May 19th, 2025, 12:00 PM ET.

Quotes shall be submitted via the Supplier Portal before Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, 12:00PM ET.
