Heat Emergency in Boston

A heat emergency is in place in Boston through Tuesday, June 24. A number of splash pads and City pools are open, and select BCYF community centers are open as cooling centers during the emergency.

PMD – THE REMOVAL, REPLACEMENT, START-UP AND SERVICE OF VARIOUS POOL EQUIPMENT AT BCYF CURTIS HALL

The City of Boston acting by its Property Management Department, through its Commissioner of the Property Management Department (PMD), hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites sealed bids for the above-entitled project.

M.G.L. c. 149, sections 44A-44J

The scope of work includes the removal, replacement, start-up and service of various pool equipment at BCYF Curtis Hall as further described in the specifications which will be available on or about May 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. through the City of Boston Supplier Portal at boston.gov/procurement Event ID EV00015977 or electronically by emailing pmdbidinfo@boston.gov.

A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. All prospective bidders will meet at Curtis Hall, located at 20 South Street, Boston, MA 02130.

All General Bids shall be filed with the Awarding Authority before 12:00 p.m. on May 22, 2025, at which time and place respective General Bids will be opened forthwith and read aloud. LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

General Bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond deposit of amount bid. All interested bidders are directed to the bid specifications and plans for full information on any and all requirements applicable to this bid.
