Payton Renfroe is the newest member of the Office of Returning Citizens team. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Payton has proudly called Boston home for the past seven years.

She earned her undergraduate degree in International Affairs with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Northeastern University. Payton also completed Northeastern’s PlusOne Program, earning a Master of Science in Security and Resilience Studies.

A passionate advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, youth empowerment, and green recidivism initiatives, Payton brings a strong commitment to community engagement and resilience-building. She leverages these passions to foster meaningful relationships throughout the Boston community.

Outside of work, Payton stays actively involved in her community and enjoys swing dancing, yoga, reading and attending book clubs, live music events, and visiting her niece and nephew back in Nashville.
