Steve Bickerton is a lifelong Dorchester resident. He joined Parks and Recreation in 2019 after working at both the Boston Centers for Youth & Families, and the City’s Public Facilities Department in Administration and Finance Roles. At Parks, Steve oversees the “back of the house” operations including Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Operations, and Asset Management. He also serves as the Parks representative on the Coordinated Response Team, and in collective bargaining negotiations with the City’s union partners.

Outside of work, Steve has served on various nonprofit and civic boards. He is a Boston Latin Academy graduate (5x City League Boys’ Hockey Champion), received his Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities and Environmental Engineering from the nation’s finest maritime academy, the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, and an MBA concentrating in Operations Management and Human Resources from UMass Boston. He is lives in Dorchester with his family.
