Leena Ghrici
Leena Ghrici is a recent UMass Boston graduate with a BA in Economics and a passion for public service. She is fluent in five languages—English, Malay, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, and Burmese. In addition to her City of Boston Summer Internship, Leena's professional experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she managed data for econometric models and climate research, and as a Renewable Energy Intern at New Paradigm Energy, where she sourced significant financing and assessed environmental impacts. Her volunteer work spans diverse settings, from teaching at the Rohingya Children's Orphanage in Yangon to assisting at the Early Autism Project in Kuala Lumpur.
Driven by a commitment to societal welfare, Leena is eager to apply economic principles to promote equity and sustainable development. Leena is dedicated to leveraging her skills and experiences to make a positive impact, embodying the values of public service nurtured through her education and volunteerism.
