COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PUBLIC SERVICES
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 9 a.m. on behalf of Mayor Wu and the City of Boston, the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development (OWD) will issue an open and competitive Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) for services under the Community Development Block Grant Public Services (CDBG-PS). Education and Training Services
CDBG funds are intended to provide services for low-income individuals and families with the goal of moving them out of poverty towards economic security. Through funded services and collaboration, programs will be designed to offer multiple pathways to economic security through education and industry-approved training; placement in jobs along career pathways; and/or access to public or private cash equivalent benefits.
Interested applicants can download the RFGA online at https://www.boston.gov/departments/workforce-development/funding-opportunities starting on April 3, 2024 at 9 a.m.
A bidder’s conference will be held on Friday, April 12, at 1:00 p.m. virtually via Zoom; accommodations for persons with disabilities are available upon request. Interested parties can attend the bidder’s conference via Zoom at https://bit.ly/CDBG-PSBidCon. A Letter of Intent to Bid is strongly recommended but not required. If submitting, the LOI is due by Wednesday, April 24, by 5:00 p.m. via box link submission embedded in the RFGA. Proposals will be due via upload to https://bit.ly/CDBG-PSApply, on or before 5:00 p.m. EST Monday. May 13, 2024. No email submission will be accepted.
This RFGA seeks to identify CDBG-PS providers for services from July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025.
