My name is Maya Dias and I had the honor and privilege of being the PTA president of the Patrick

Lyndon Pilot School for 2 school years from 2021-2023.

I trained as a Physician in India and the UK specializing in Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation and became a full-time mom when I moved to the US in 2011. I had the opportunity to join the PTA as a new parent to the school with a daughter in 4 th grade. The 2 years had many administrative and community challenges

especially with establishing the school site council and building up the middle school experience. The West Roxbury community is an articulate, involved, welcoming and supportive community.
