Grocery Items & Distribution Boston Public Schools

The City of Boston, acting by the Boston Public Schools, 2300 Washington Street, Roxbury, MA 02119, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites written quotes for the project listed above.

 

Quotes will be solicited from selected vendors through the City of Boston’s Supplier Portal:

https://www.boston.gov/departments/procurement.

All quotes for this project are subject to all applicable provisions of law and in accordance with the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled: Grocery Items & Distribution Boston Public Schools

Quotes shall be submitted before 12:00 P.M., Boston time, Monday December 4th, 2023, and opened forthwith.

SPECIFICATIONS AND PLANS will be available on or about Monday, November 6th, 2023, after 12:00 P.M., Boston time. The term of the contract shall be for 1 year. Multiple awards may be made to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s) offering the lowest total unit price per delivery for each item.  Bidders may bid on specific grouping of items and work with subcontractors to fulfill Good Food Purchasing Program (GFPP) item specs as listed in the bid pricing sheet.  

To ensure that prospective BIDDER(S) have a clear understanding of what FNS is seeking, FNS provides BIDDER(S) an opportunity to meet with District staff, hear more about the district plans and needs, and ask questions. The Pre-Bid Conference Call information:

The successful bidder will be required to provide by insurance for the payment of compensation and the furnishing of other benefits under the Workmen’s Compensation Law, General Laws (Ter.Ed.), chapter 152, to all persons to be employed under the contract, and sufficient proof of compliance with the foregoing stipulation will be required before commencing performance of this contract.
