Nathalia Ferreira da Silva
Nathalia, born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, moved to the U.S. in 2019 through a Cultural Exchange program. After being paired with a family in Massachusetts, she quickly fell in love with Boston’s diverse and welcoming community. By 2021, she had made Brighton her home and hasn’t looked back since.
With a background in the creative side of communication, Nathalia is passionate about crafting impactful campaigns across both digital and traditional media. She holds a degree in Social Communication with a minor in Marketing and Advertising from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2024, she earned her MBA from Babson College, concentrating in Marketing. She believes that her educational journey is just beginning and plans to pursue another master’s program in communication in the near future.
As the Project and Digital Manager for the Mayor’s Office of Civic Organizing (OCO), Nathalia seamlessly blends creativity with organizational precision. She leads the development and execution of campaigns for OCO’s initiatives, ensuring that projects are thoughtfully designed to foster positive community interactions. Nathalia takes pride in witnessing the growth of OCO’s programs and has played a key role in introducing new initiatives like the Spooky Streets Grant and planning the Civic Summit.
Nathalia’s passion for civic engagement and volunteer work is deeply rooted in her personal values. She actively connects with and supports nonprofits, believing in the importance of contributing to a stronger, happier community. Her lifelong dream is to establish a nonprofit in Brazil dedicated to empowering single mothers, providing them with the resources and support needed to thrive professionally.
Outside of work, Nathalia enjoys traveling and discovering new places, particularly museums and historic sites. At home, she finds joy in reading books and binge watching TV shows. Cooking is her go-to activity for relaxation, often experimenting with new recipes to unwind and express her creativity.
