Cleaning of Municipal Parking Lots in the City of Boston

The City of Boston, acting by its Commissioner, invites sealed bids for the performance of the work generally described above, and particularly set forth in the Invitation For Bids.

Bids may be obtained at Room 714 (Contract Office), City Hall, Boston, MA, commencing at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023. Invitations for Bids shall be available until the time of the bid opening. There will be a charge of five dollars ($5.00) NOT REFUNDABLE for each set of bid documents taken out.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., via Google Meet Video Call. Email notification will be provided to bidders who have picked up Bid Documents.

Every sealed bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Invitations for Bids. All sealed bids shall be filed not later than Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the office of the Official, Public Works Department, Room 714, Boston City Hall. All bids must be from bidders of record (those who have picked up contract documents) on file at Room 714, City Hall. The documents must be accompanied by a non-refundable bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer’s check or cashier’s check drawn on or issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City of Boston, in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00)

The attention of all bidders is directed to the provisions of the Invitation for Bids and contract documents.

The contract shall contain an option for renewal and extension of the contract, two one-year options if exercised, will result in a contract term of three years. The City of Boston acting through the Official shall retain the sole discretion in exercising the option to renew or extend the contract.

The Chief of Streets has determined that there is little or no risk of default or unsatisfactory performance by the vendor/contractor therefore, a performance bond will not be required.

Bidders are further notified that they shall submit prices for and bid prices shall be compared on the basis of the entire period of performance. Bidders are hereby notified that the Official shall cancel the contract if funds are not appropriated in any fiscal year. Sealed bids shall be opened and read aloud through a virtual meeting by the Official on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1:30 p.m.
