OSHA 10-Hour Trainings in Construction

The City of Boston is offering FREE OSHA 10-hour Training to Boston Residents! The 10-hour OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) course in construction provides essential workplace safety training, covering key topics such as hazard identification, fall protection, electrical safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Designed for entry-level workers, it helps ensure compliance with OSHA standards and promotes a safer work environment in the construction industry. Each participant will receive the OSHA 10 card and a certificate to give to their employer. You must be a Boston resident to participate.

To comply with OSHA regulations, this course will be held over TWO days. You must attend both days to obtain the OSHA 10 card.

These trainings will be held in person in different neighborhoods across Boston. The locations will be announced closer to each training date.

OSHA 30-hour Trainings in Construction Outreach

To help businesses comply with the Safe Construction and Demolition Operations Ordinance, the City of Boston is providing free OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Training. Designed for those who function as Site Safety Coordinators under the Ordinance, this training program will equip participants with the skills needed to establish and maintain occupational safety, health, and wellness at their job sites. Eight courses will be offered in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Classes begin at 7:00 AM and will conclude at 1:00 PM, including breaks (lunch is provided). 

You must be a resident of the City of Boston, or hold a permit from the City of Boston Inspectional Services Department to be eligible to attend a free OSHA-30 class.

To comply with OSHA regulations, this course will be held over FOUR days. You must attend all four days to obtain the OSHA 30 card.

  • Class 1: English - January 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 - Curley Community Center, Boston

  • Class 2: English - February 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 - Curley Community Center, Boston

  • Class 3: English - February 24, 25, 26, March 3, 4 - Curley Community Center, Boston

  • Class 4: Spanish - March 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 -  Location TBD

  • Class 5: Portuguese - March 31, April 1, 2, 7, 8 - Location TBD

  • Class 6: Spanish - April 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 - Location TBD

  • Class 7: English - April 28, 29, 30, May 5, 6 - Location TBD

  • Class 8: English - May 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 - Location TBD
