Alert: Playing Fields Closed This Weekend Due to Rain

Due to the recent heavy rainfall, all City of Boston grass playing fields are closed this weekend (October 15 and 16) as of Friday, October 14, 2022.

Correction/clarification - grass fields and artificial turf fields are available for usage this weekend. Baseball/softball fields are closed to allow the fields to dry out from the heavy rainfall. Thank you for your cooperation.

We ask communities not to attempt to take water off the fields as it can cause more damage — let mother nature do her job.
