Traffic Advisory for Sunday, June 19, 2022

Rolling street closures will be in effect for the Juneteenth Emancipation Observance Parade.

The parade will start at 1 p.m., at the Boys & Girls Club Parking Lot, 85 Warren street, in Roxbury. An expected 400 people and 5 vehicles. The parade will take this route:

  • Warren Street heading southerly
  • Right onto Walnut Avenue
  • Left onto Crawford Street
  • Ending at Abbotsford Street

People attending the parade are encouraged not to drive their personal vehicles. Information on Bluebikes, the regional bike share service, may be found at on the Bluebikes website and information on the MBTA may be found on the MBTA website. For a faster return trip, the MBTA advises riders to purchase a round-trip rather than a one-way ticket. Walking is also a great way to move around.
