The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Department of Neighborhood Development, 12 Channel Street, Boston MA 02210, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites sealed bids for the above-entitled project. Bids shall be on a form supplied by the Department of Neighborhood Development, be clearly identified as a bid, completely filled in, signed by the bidder, and enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the Project Name and Project Number. All bids for this project are subject to current provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, section 39M as amended; and to the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled:  Amory Street Soil Remediation, Roxbury, MA (Ward 11/Parcel 01174000) - Project No. B5430B.  

The scope of work is further detailed in the specifications and includes excavation and off-site disposal of contaminated soil and debris.  

ALL BIDS shall be filed with the Awarding Authority *By Appointment Only and submitted directly to the Public Facilities (PFD) Bid Counter, located at 26 Court Street, 1st  Floor, Boston, MA 02108, before twelve o'clock (noon) (EST), on June 14, 2021 at which time and place respective bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. 

PLEASE NOTE:  All visits to PFD Bid Counter will require an appointment to drop-off bid submissions. Please use the Online Scheduler at http://www.boston.gov/departments/public-facilities to request an appointment. The Bid Counter’s reduced days and hours of operation are: Mondays and Wednesdays only, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.  

A non-mandatory Bidders’ Conference will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Amory Street parcel (Ward 11/Parcel 01174000). All those attending the Bidders’ Conference will do so at their own risk. Please be advised COVID-19 protocols will be followed including the requirement for face masks and social distancing.

Plans and specifications will be available on or about May 24, 2021 electronically only from the Department of Neighborhood Development to all interested parties and can be downloaded by registering at https://boston.gov/dnd/rfps.
