The City of Boston acting by and through its Public Facilities Commission by the Director of the Department of Neighborhood Development, Neighborhood Housing Development Division, sells tax foreclosed or surplus municipal property to buyers who agree to invest in the rehabilitation of the property. Residential, commercial and institutional buildings and land are included in this program. The Grassroots Open Space Program makes land available specifically for the development of open space projects such as community gardens, urban farms, and passive open space. 

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified nonprofit organizations or other entities for development of the parcels as open space. The property is being offered As Is, with up to $100,000 in possible funding available from the Grassroots Program.     

The Property: 632 Morton Street (Ward 14, Parcel # 04566000), Mattapan, MA, containing approximately 3,794 square feet 

Property Viewings:

It is strongly recommended that prospective developers avail themselves of the opportunity to inspect the site by driving by it so that they may prepare their proposals accordingly.

The RFP package will be available on November 23, 2020 and can be downloaded by registering at .  If you are unable to access, please contact the Development Officer.  Due to the ongoing health precautions that the City has taken due to COVID-19, completed RFP responses must be submitted electronically by Monday, January 11, 2021, no later than 4:00 pm
