Thousands gathered at City Hall Plaza for the strike.

This week, Councilor Wu recognized leaders of the Boston Climate Strike, which took place this Friday as part of young people mobilizing around the world to step up for our climate crisis.

"Boston Climate Strike is a movement to demand that political leaders take actions to meet the size and scale of climate change and to launch the “era of the Green New Deal,” said 18-year-old Audrey Lin, a Boston strike organizer.
