Mayor Walsh Welcomes Students Back to Boston Public Schools on First Day of Classes

Mayor Walsh to visit BPS schools, and shares welcome-back video

 

BOSTON - Wednesday, September 7, 2016 - Tomorrow, Mayor Martin J. Walsh will welcome Boston Public School students, teachers, parents and administrators back to their schools to begin the 2016-2017 school year.

In addition, Mayor Walsh today launched a video to welcome back all residents to a new school year at Boston Public Schools. The video was filmed at the Thomas J. Kenny Elementary School in Dorchester. Mayor Walsh helped prepare the Kenny School for its newest class, and looks forward to welcoming back all students in Boston for the upcoming school year.
