Chief Executive Officer, Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program

Stan McLaren is the Chief Executive Officer of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP). Throughout his career in public health, he has been dedicated to ensuring access to high-quality healthcare services for marginalized and disenfranchised communities in Boston. With a strong commitment to addressing barriers to care and social determinants of health (SDOH), Stan has consistently advocated for the health needs of underserved populations in both hospital and health center settings.

Before joining BHCHP, Stan served as President of Carney Hospital, part of the Steward Health Care System. In this role, he managed day-to-day operations and led a management team during a critical period, focusing on delivering exceptional care to patients. Stan previously held the position of President and CEO of Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center (HSNHC). During his tenure, he successfully guided the organization through a significant financial and operational turnaround, earning widespread recognition as a trusted provider of high-quality healthcare. His contributions to the field have been acknowledged with notable awards, including the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts Joan Wallace Benjamin Leadership Award.

Stan holds an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and a degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He is passionate about fostering collaborative efforts that enhance access to high-quality care for all individuals.
