Visitors can enjoy a massive ice sculpture "Love Seat" (perfect for snapping photos), a hot chocolate bar offering free drinks and treats, a glowing red Valentine's Day light sculpture and backdrops decorating the area, a family-friendly puppet show, a visit from Blades the Bruin, and a Saturday night dance party — complete with DJ set from DJ Bruno — all courtesy of the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District (Downtown Boston BID).

"We Are Boston 2022: From Dreams to Action" will recognize the successes of the past year and name this year’s honorees who are champions of diversity and inclusiveness. The fun-filled evening will include performances and an inspiring program. Corporate sponsorships fund mini-grants for immigrant-serving nonprofits.

This year’s reception is on March 3 from 6 - 7 p.m. on Zoom. It was originally planned for February as an in-person event, but due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, it was postponed to March 3 to be a virtual reception. Local immigrant-serving nonprofits, corporate sponsors, and the public are all invited to attend. The event is free but registration is required.

Mayor Kim Janey, the Boston Landmarks Commission commemorates the designation of Shirley-Eustis Place in Roxbury as a historical landmark. With the Shirley-Eustis Houses well-known historical significance of former Governors Shirley and Eustis comes a hidden history that is often untold, unrecorded, and unrecognized. Ongoing research and oral history in Roxbury suggests that the lands were built, kept, and managed by enslaved people. Mayor Janey’s support and commemoration of the designation expands the history that is often centered in Boston.

Western Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Grayson Ty has mastered the art of vulnerability. Entirely unpretentious, his stage presence is easy, genuine, and unguarded.
